St James Movie Night

St. James movie night. On Saturday, February 1, at 6 am, all are invited to bring your own supper – we will provide drinks, popcorn, and dessert – and join is for watching the film Risen! The film stars the terrific Joseph Fiennes (Shakespeare in Love, the Handmaid’s Tale) and follows a Roman tribune who has the unenviable job of presiding over the crucifixion of Jesus and then to find the body of Christ, in a race against time, when He “disappears” from the guarded tomb, several days after His death. Featuring great performances by Fiennes, Clifton Collins, Jr (who plays Jesus), Peter Firth (Pilate), and others, Risen! features a great story and brings up interesting questions for us to ponder together on our road to discipleship.
